IKEA everyday rituals
Let's dance, sing and doodle!
From impromptu pyjama parties and indoor picnics to nerdy doodles and intimate gigs. Pierre-Èmile, Tauri and Boluwatifé and Lour share the everyday rituals that help them express their creativity, celebrate friendship and bring people together.
Next level PJ party!

Even when professional dancer and choreographer Pierre-Èmile isn't performing on the world stage, he loves nothing more than busting a groove at home. A cosy night in involves a pair of comfy pyjamas, his close friends and some great tunes belted out on his VAPPEBY portable bluetooth speaker.

To create your own pyjama disco, just push back the furniture, clear some space, turn up the volume, and put your best foot forward. Dancing is thirsty (and hungry!) work. A RÅSKOG trolley filled with snacks and drinks is ideal for serving guests as they dance the night away!
"I low-key love a good night in with pyjamas, friends and a boogie."
– Pierre-Émile
Creative daily doodling

As a creative writer, Tauri loves gathering and expressing her thoughts in so many different ways. She and her partner Boluwatifé love leaving creative prompts for one another to inspire open dialogue and share their feelings. Drawing and doodling is a great way to reduce stress, promote relaxation and just let your imagination run wild.

It's easy to create your own personal or communal creative outlet, even in the smallest space. A memo board like SVENSÅS is ideal for everyday expression. Use it as a daily reminder, a mood board or a creative space for spontaneous doodles.
"All the great ideas trapped in our heads, we let free on the board."
– Tauri and Boluwatifé
A never-mind-the-weather picnic

At Basecamp Malmö in Sweden, even bad weather doesn't spoil the fun. In this student house, fellow students become friends over impromptu lunch picnics – no sunshine necessary.

At this collective hot dog feast, everyone brings their favourite topping. A roll of MÅLA paper allows you to make your own creative table setting and scribble the name of each topping. Why not challenge your neighbour to a game of tic-tac-toe?
"Our advice for happiness? Surround your table with friends – who bring food."
– Basecamp Malmö
Sitting room serenade

Lour can often be heard singing and strumming on social media, but lucky friends are often treated to unplugged concerts at his place. When the lights go down and the music starts, the living room becomes Lour's stage.
Do you have rockstar ambitions? Why not hold your very own couch concert? All you need is a living room (or maybe even the bedroom?) and a few adoring fans. A string of UTSUND LED string lights make the perfect backdrop, and don't forget some snacks to keep the crowd happy!
"Some days are good while others are great. All I need is music and good friends."
– Lour
