Accessibility service for customers with special needs at IKEA
At IKEA, we aim to make all of our customers feel welcome and safe during their shopping experience. This way, we are offering a new service exclusively in our Loures store and Alfragide (in Lisbon area): a personalized accessibility service for our customers with special needs.
- Customers with mobility impairment
- Deaf customers, or customers with hearing disabilities
- Blind or visually impaired customers
- Senior customers

How it works
If you are a customer with one of these qualities, you can at any day and any hour between 10am-8pm visit our Loures ou Alfragide store and connect with the IKEA coworkers we have in our entrance on first floor to request our shopping service. Our coworkers will reach out to one of our home furnishing coworkers who will be your personal shopper throughout your visit, aiming to give you a shopping experience that is according to your needs and wishes.
When you arrive to IKEA Loures or Alfragide:
- If you come by car, we have adjusted our accessible parking lots to be closer and more accessible for your arrival.
- If you come by bus, we have implemented new tactile guidance from the bus stop until our entrance.
- We have created an info point in the entrance at the parking level where you can reach out to our coworkers already at arrival to share that you are here and would like our support. Or you can via our tactile map see the store.
- If you like to visit the store by yourself, we have also an info point available in the self-service where you can request support from our coworkers to pick up your goods.
