IKEA Philippines rolls out 100% EV deliveries to Metro Manila today, more provinces soon
Starting July 1st, IKEA Philippines is rolling out delivery services across Metro Manila using 100% electric vehicles (EVs). The team will be expanding these services to cover not just Metro Manila, but also Cavite province, parts of Rizal and Laguna provinces.The team is using over 39 different EV trucks to make this happen.
At the beginning of 2024, we also started using EVs for deliveries in major cities south of Manila: Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro. We also offered assembly and Click & Collect services, on top of home delivery powered by our green fleet.
As part of this effort, we’re also happy to introduce two lady drivers and two lady assemblers employed by our delivery partner, Mober. They will be helping with home deliveries and assembly services as part of our goal to champion diversity across operations.
